Stream WebEx Meetings to Social Media

The COVID-19 pandemic made online meetings a must have tool for businesses worldwide. Using WebEx requires the download and installation of the WebEx application on a computer or mobile device. The application helps participants see or listen to each other in real time. This is a typical "online conference meetings". Other scenarios require a small group or "presenters" to be able to communicate, when many other viewers are passively watching them. WebEx just added the ability to send a RTMP stream out. The advantage of this feature are: 1. Ability to expand your WebEx audience to a much larger number of viewers. 2. Ability to add closed captioning to a WebEx meeting. Grow the audience of WebEx meetings by publishing a meeting to Videolinq and using the Videolinq platform to live stream to add closed captioning to your WebEx meeting, and to distribute the broadcast to multiple social media platforms or 3rd party streaming services! WebEx Site Administrator Enable Live Streaming Services on Your Webex Site Sign in to Webex Site Administration. On the left navigation bar, go to Configuration > Common Site Settings > Options . Scroll to the Live Streaming Providers section and select the streaming services that you want to enable. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Update . Enable Live Streaming for Individual Users Sign in to Webex Site Administration. On the left navigation bar, go to User Management Edit User and select a user account to update. In the Privileges section for that user, check the " Enable Live Streaming" check box. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Update . WebEx Control Hub Enable Live Streaming Services on Your Webex Site From the customer view in https://admin.webex.com , go to Services , and under Meeting , select Sites . Choose the Webex site to change the settings for, and select Configuration > Common Settings > Site Options . Scroll to the Live Streaming Providers section and select the streaming services that you want to enable.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Update . Enable Live Streaming for Individual Users From the customer view in https://admin.webex.com , go to Users and select the user to change the privileges for. In the panel that opens on the right, in the Services , select Meeting . Under Webex Meeting Sites , select the Webex site to change the privileges for. Click Advanced User Settings and Tracking Codes . Under the User Settings section, check the " Enable Live Streaming" check box.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Update . Webex Individual User Start a Broadcast After their profile account was enabled to stream out, individual Webex Users can stream out their meeting by doing the following: Start a meeting and go to "Meeting" "Start to stream" "Other streaming providers". In the Streaming Service field copy the RTMP path from your live streaming service provider. If you plan to stream with Videolinq, copy this information from the Channel / Encoder tab. In the Target Stream Key field copy the stream key information from your streaming provider. Click "Start Streaming" and confirm you see video at your target streaming service. Streaming out from a Webex meeting increase the number of people watching your meeting. You can stream your meeting to your social media channel, or when you have a player - to your website or blog.
